Villain in both hands is Elson (with some numebrs afetr it). He's been very aggressive, raising alot preflop and has put a bet or raise in HU in nearly every postflop hand i've seen him in during the last 60ish hands.

Anyway, I was really frustrated by this guy, no matter what I was doing he was owning me...and I have position so I'm supposed to be the one who is hard to play against? I dunno. I felt helpless here...my lack of NL cash game experience hurts me in these types of situations I think.

Help!

My advice is that when the flop misses you, you can fold. If he is that aggressive you will get money off him when the flop does hit you. Your raise all in on the 2nd hand is horrible, he almost certainly will call with a king and any other hand you were probably ahead of anyway. You are not short stacked, wait for the right cards to come.

P.S. When an aggressive player who is the pre flop raiser checks a flop to you I'd be very suspicious.

Yeah, I was suspicious, and as soon as I made the bet I realized I had made a mistake - the only reason he'd check would be to c/r me with a bet I couldn't call short of having a big hand like KQ/AK. He was an aggressive player and I was almost certain this move was a "lets make him fold" move but I didn't have enough FE to come over the top and I wasn't going to call w/ A-hi.

Frustrating hands.
