Default Im worried today

Got my check from pokerstars for a recent cashout today. It went through Toronto and I could tell that the US customs dept had opened it because they retaped it with their special tape. Does this mean that they reported it to the IRS? Has this ever happened to you? This will be the last time that I cash out over a grand because under a grand and they use US Mail.

What's wrong with just paying taxes? Is it really worth fines/jail/criminal record/being worried?

1) Pay your taxes, douche.
2) Haven't you ever heard of Neteller?
3) Can you really imagine the guy at customs going "hay, it ain't drugs, but it's a check! Let's report it to the IRS!"
4) Can you really imagine the guy at the IRS going "O RLY, you saw that Joe Schmoe got a check?? Great, we'll write it down and git 'em if he doesn't report it!"

Jesus this forum is full of smart asses. I just want to know if I need to worry about it. Perhaps they put a drug sniffing dog on it to see if it were coke? They dont really care about a check coming across the border do they?

I have heard that they could send you a bill for the tax if it crosses borders.

And oh yah, I already pay the govt waaaaaay more than most people make so dont give me any chit.

Is that how it works over there? Is there a cap on your tax liability once you've paid "waaaaaay more than most people make"? How very enlightened.

I'm not going to give you any sympathy for worrying that you might have to do something I do voluntairly, not being a douche myself.
