Default Blair Hull

My Uncle Thuong showed me a book called New Market Wizards. In it there is an interview with Jeff Yass. But before he is interviewed, another trader with a gambling background (card counting with Ken Uston's team in his case) is also interviewed. His name is Blair Hull and he trades arbitrage-style using concepts discovered by Edward Thorp. Interesting thing that Hull said:

"There is a mathematician who has written some very good books on poker strategy, but he's never been able to make any money playing poker."

Is it possible Hull may have been talking about Mike Caro? Anyone know? Hull does not mention any names.

Maybe i'm mistaken, but I thought Caro did well at poker (not a 'name' player, but certainly profitable), at least at Draw.
