Makes sense, and I agree. I was playing live with a friend on a fun, but actually pretty tight, table. He opened with 54o from either the hijack or CO, flopped two pair, and won HU vs. the BB (who had either A5 or K5). One of the guys said something to the effect of you won that hand, but lost credibility. I didn't think it was bad, but the guy who made the comment was a reasonable guy and seemed like a pretty good player, so I was wondering.

As a sidenote, my friend's response: "But they were connected. Anyway, if I've already lost credibility...." Then he whipped out his Fossilman glasses. Classic.

The 6max tables arent that much better. Its around 25% to the flop. On the flipside there are more oppertunities to steal.

Wow. A lot has changed in the past week, then. I was constantly 3 tabling 1/2 6max with every table having >35% vpips. I figured that all most of the multi-tabling rakeback artists from euro/empire would go somewhere else and VPIPs would go up. Odd.

I think bet/fold here is fine, personally. Pretty rare to see a river value raise with 2nd pair mid kicker.

Maybe my table selection sucked. I just played 250 hands there but got bored of the tightness..

I'm pretty sure that is the case. Those tables exist, but are in the minority based on my 5 months and 30+K hands.

I'm wondering if there's some confusion because the converter puts in Party Poker for Party and all skins (it doesn't know that Party split ).

Boz, are you playing on a skin, or on the (new) Party tables? It wouldn't surprise me that the skins have tightened up. I'd be surprised if the Party tables have tightened up at all, although there may still be some folks clearing the October reload (like me on Sunday and Monday ). I personally didn't notice much difference on the 6-max tables. After I finished clearing, I went on the 9-max tables to see what they are like post-split, and if anything, they seemed looser (although it was only a couple tables, and on one I lucked into a great position when someone joined a few hands after me).

This was Empire. Working on PLAYOCT.

And, Req, I've considered playing 6max, but not sure that it'll be that much different. 'Sides, I'm actually playing well and winning, for the time being, and after a rocky start to the month I don't feel like dealing with the variance of 6max.

I'm so weak.

That is. i think you can clear that bonus playing your normal full ring game at 6 max. Just don't make a habit out of it.
