I know the racist definition; I think its also a word for a cia agent or other "spy". Those are the only two definitions i am aware of.

Are you better off than if you had bet the flop and gotten called?

only if you think doc will fold kings or jacks. which i suspect he would, otherwise hope for a showdown or the spook tries to value bet eights or something if one comes. this way you lose only one more bet.
i bet you got lucky and had the best hand.

I'm not so sure the others would say a bet here as suspect. Wouldn't he naturally check the flop to the pre-flop 3-bettor?

I think you are. At least you have some information. And maybe only one (or none) of 'em would have called.

No, you should not take a "stab" at this pot with the guy that Ray called a "spook" calling THREE COLD.

But isn't KK one of like three possible triple coldcalling hands for a spook on an AQQ flop?

Check is a wise play. If you had bet out like a man on the flop, as Clark suggested, the air would be more clear - now on the turn you are in a fog and guessing and lurching at trying to 'take a stab at the pot'. This plays right into the hands of the folks behind. Or so it seems.
