Default 100-200 hand

Full game, and it's OK.

I open raise in MP with 99. Doc (who usally plays NL only)3 bets right behind me. It's cold-called 3 bets by a guy who Ray Zee called a "spook." Spook's buddy calls two cold in the BB.

Flop: A-Q-Q r.

Buddy mucks his hand right away. I check, Doc checks, Spook checks.

Turn: 3. Should I take a stab at the pot?

id bet the turn given the flop action.

but two questions,

1) aren't you more likely to get raised on the turn given the flop check?
and
2) isn't a flop bet a better idea given you plan to bet the turn if its checked around? and you can get bigger pairs to lay down given that you played this just like a decent ace (preflop...and if you bet it thats what it would look like a good deal of the time). plus, if you get raised here, you can release much more easily than if you checked around and bet the turn only to get raised there...

If your opponents are weak as described I would bet this flop.

I find many weak opponents would check big hands on the flop when checked too.

Now that it gets checked thru you dont know exactly where you are.

If the last player bet, were you going to check fold the flop ?

Given the flop inaction, a stab at the pot is reasonable if you are willing to check-call a river bet. Also, I'm assuming your opponents are capable of bluff-raising you on the turn, so how willing are you to re-raise them if this happens?

Do you think the "spook" had any part of the flop? If not, check raising Doc when he calls in a protected pot, or c/r'ing the "spook" himself, may be the best way to get the pot.

What's a spook?

Why not take a stab at the pot?

Smells like a trap.

Also, you don't say if Doc or Spook might lay down JJ to a turn bet. Maybe it's because that's the question you are asking...yes, of course it is.

Well, I don't know these guys and I say they ain't laying down JJ...heh.

Checkfold the turn.
