First session in my quest to crush the NL tables
Played 400 hands of 25NL today and showed a profit of 50$. All in all I played my hands pretty fast whenever I had a niece peice of the board. Here's a couple of hands that Im not to confident in.
Hand 1. Well this flop is pretty darn nice for me, but when villian who is 18/7 in 65 hands, insta pushes after my reraise I decides to drop this hand since I have a hard time seeing which hands I beat. Re: First session in my quest to crush the NL tables
interesting hand, you're either way ahead/behind or he's on a draw with overs. i probably muck too, I hate the min-raise on the turn.

Make it $8-10 on the flop, otherwise fine hand.

Hand 2. Guess I voerplayed my AK here with the continuation bet on the flop. But it might not be all that bad since I get a free card also..?

Re: First session in my quest to crush the NL tables
Hand 1:
Min raise on the flop is weak. Make it at least $9 or $10 to go, and then fold to the $20 push. Why? The min-raise gives him about 4.5:1 to call and see the next card if he's bluffing - which makes it +EV to call with just a flush draw. You at least want him to make an error if he's semi-bluffing and considers chasing by calling your raise. If you make it $10 to go and he raises to $20, you have to call ~$10 to a pot of ~34 or 3:1 odds, but you are probably way behind (or up against an OESFD type of drawing hand) so folding at that point is ok. Other than the size of the flop raise, this is good. |

Re: First session in my quest to crush the NL tables
I would pot the flop, bet the turn, and check-call on the river.

Re: First session in my quest to crush the NL tables
Hand 2:
Nothing wrong here. I don't think you overplayed at all. You made a decent continuation bet as the preflop raiser and got called either by a draw or a hand with a Q in it. This looks ok to me. |

Re: First session in my quest to crush the NL tables
I think you played it fine.
Once your continuation bet was called on this flop (esp. as there are no draws), you are most probably behind, so by all means take the free card... Ojo_Rojo |

Still there are few drawing hands that villian raise with from EP if he's a true 18/7. But makin it 10$ to go was said before and now I see why. |
