Default Name an \"average\" NFL QB

As an aside to the top ten QB thread, name me the most average NFL QB. It is such a hot button position that I think it is tough to find consensus on what is average, or acceptatble. There are good, or servicable players, and the rest seem to be percieved as bad.

For what is worth, my top ten is:

1. P. Manning
2. McNabb
3. Vick
4. Cullpepper
5. Green
6. Favre
7. Bulger
8. Brady
9. Brees
10. Collins

Many QBs are products of systems, and I try to evaluate each on how they may perform with other teams, hence my lower rating of Brady. If he were the QB of the Lions, I doubt many would think much of him. Put Favre on the Lions this year and watch out for Detroit.

Average = Bledsoe?

If your favorite team drafted a player #1 overall and he had a career = to Bledsoe, would you be satisfied with the pick?

Green, Brunnell back when he was on the Jags, Dilfer, Pennington when mostly healthy, Garcia. Although I tend to think of journeymen when the word average comes to mind. Bascially, guys who you know what to expect from, no better or worse.

a guy like k collins comes to mind. in the right system he has been very good. in the wrong system he has been bad.

id agree with bledsoe, leftwich.

maybe brees is a top 10 because he is so good at not turning it over. but in the wrong system i think he could be pretty bad as he was in his early yrs.

This list is not good. Probably 3 of these qbs are average at this point.

I think Kerry Collins is the perfect example of this.

def not. I'm not saying that you couldn't have a QB like Bledsoe that would lead you to the SB, but the 1st pick in the draft would likely be better spent on a stud lineman. You can almost always pick up a guy like bledsoe in FA.

Bledsoe's below average, Dellhome's above average IMO.
Leftwich is a great example.
