11.5 g chips are poo
I got a set of the "Dynasty" 11.5 g chips.
They aren't clay, they are plastic with a metal slug in them. The guys in our game mess around with their chips, for example they will slam a chip down, watch it roll away, then it rolls back. The first time I played with these chips, after watching the usual manhandling of the chips, I was putting them away and noticed there was a half-inch scratch in one green chip, all the way down to the metal. How did it get noticed? The gouge was so big the chip reflected light into my eyes. What crap. Are all 11.5 g chips plastic with a metal slug? Or are some 11.5 g chips clay (fake clay)? |

Re: 11.5 g chips are poo
I've got 2 kinds of 11.5g chips (see previous chip posts).
Both have slugs. But some are slick plastic, some "feel" more like clay. The plastic ones are a more constitent quality, and stack evenly. The "clay composite" ones stack unevenly. Blacks and greens generally thicker. |
