Default Borgata brat needs alternatives

Hi,

Since the Borgata opened, I've *ONLY* played there (for table games, slots, and of course poker). This time, I will be staying two nights near the Trop (got excellent deal at the Holiday Inn).

Can you AC casino pros recommend a good Borgata alternative? Mostly in terms of poker action. I am accustomed to Borgata's low limit games (2/4, 3/6). Would like some nice soft, beatable low-limit games. Would also play some table BJ and craps, and a little slots. I'm thinking I'll definitely need to check out the Trop because it's right next door, and also check out the shopping at The Quarter. But what else is a must-see?

Trop poker room is pretty good. I was there during the week of Thanksgiving and they had a real good selection of games going (2/4,4/8,7.50/15,10/20,1/2NL,2/5NL,1/5 7CS,5/10 7CS,
2/4 O8). It's probably better on the weekends,etc..Never played in a tournament there.

I don't play any table/casino games, so I can't comment on those.
Along with the restaurants/bars in the Quarter, I would say the Hooters downstairs is a must see....

Borgata is the only place that is any fun, although Trop would be next in my opinion.

"the pink chip game is LEGENDARY."

For good reason- this game is absolutely nuts most of the time. Generally features 3-4 middle aged asian guys who will raise/cap before the flop EVERY SINGLE HAND. 30bb pots are pretty common in this game, or at least they were when I played it like 3 years ago.

It's played with all $2.50 pink blackjack chips...it was a decent transition to mid limits for me back in the day.

They didn't, it's still all the way across town.

Trop is next door to the hotel I'm staying at, the Holiday Inn on the boardwalk. I was saying that I'm accustomed to the Borgata and wanted alternatives.

I think I'll cab/Jitney it over to the Borgata for a short while, but it sounds like the Trop is definitely the place to check out. I'll be looking for pink chips too, hehe. Thanks everyone.
