It is not uncommon to see variations of Pineapple (called "Irish) in UK cardrooms. Usually it is in the mixed games. At the Vic, for instance, players can call different variations up to 5 card Irish. Try finding a starting hands chart for that.

Pineapple - discard before the flop
Crazy Pineapple (use played high/low) - discard before the turn
Lazy Pineapple - keep all three playe 0, 1, or 2 (also called Tahoe Pineapple although as far as I can tell it wasn't invented there nor was it ever the rage in Tahoe).

Hurricane Hold'em - keep all 3 and all 3 play (silly game where everybody is afraid of concealed big hands)

There are also a set of games in Europe called Irish. 3, 4, and 5 card irish where 3 card can be played like Pineapple or CP, 4 card is usu a discard preflop and on the flop, and 5 card has another discard on the turn. Or at least that is what I remember from the few times I've played Irish
