There's no doubt Danny got his money in with the worst of it many times, but that also helped him to take down huge pots when he made a hand. [/ QUOTE ] So.....that makes him a good player. "Yea...I'm going to kind of have to disagree with you..." -bill lumburg |

How about that awesome T7 call by Gus? The man is a maestro.

Re: WPT: players that will never make final table again
Greetings all,
First of all I'd like to say that I played my worst poker of the tournament at the final table. Considering the pressure I thought I did alright. Losing those first few hands and seeing the crazy bets and raises flying around fazed me a little bit. I think I was a little too conservative with my lay downs preflop, but some of my best hands were edited out by WPT. You might notice that I went from 320k (or so) to over 700k and they didnt show how I got there. It was because I bet aggressively preflop and stole blinds and had 2 (what I thought were) bluffs that I took down. The last call against Gus was terrible and I knew it as soon as I did it, but I was exhausted. It was Gus' biggest bet of the tourny to date and it made sense that if he was playing a draw or bluff that he would make the call nearly impossible for me. It was a horrible suck out against a great player. It would be great if you guys can give me an analysis of my poker face, see any tells? I'd like to hear your thoughts. Cheers, Jay Martens |

Re: WPT: players that will never make final table again
Firstly congrats and well done.
I thought you played well under the pressures of the table. Tells, I thought Danny was easy to read, leaning forward cross armed when weak. You, I thought the way you handled your chips was weak. You need to count them out, declare and push them in consistently and firmly. There was one hand where the dealer thought you had sat back in your chair, reconsidering a declaration. Your chips were in the same position, the position you counted them out. Minor details that I'm sure you are thinking about. Good of you to post |

He's made it to the final three tables 3 times (with 2 in the top 20) times since then, and cashed yesterday in the 1K/rebuys. [/ QUOTE ] It's facts like this that keep me playing poker when the cards go cold. |
