Default I got out of the kiddie pool and made a move... comments?

Fullhanded average table. I limp UTG with A5s ... folded to CO, who raises 8 BB, folded to me UTG and I reraise to 30 BB, he calls.

Flop comes 346 rainbow, I push for about the pot size.

CO has 4x the buyin, and seems like a solid player. He has seen me take down a couple pots playing solidly and I induced a busted draw to bet and called down with 3rd pair an orbit ago, so I dont think he's all that confident against me.

I read his CO raise as bigger than his normal raise, and as a steal attempt, so I pose a huge hand by reraising.. I fold to a push, but I feel I can pick up the pot right here. If called, I plan to push any flop. Flop comes about as good as I can ask for, so I push...

Comments? I give him credit for only being able to call my push with AA-TT or a set, and if he does I have 8, possibly 11 outs

Is it just me or is anyone else dropping this preflop, especially with your read on him being a solid player. You are out of position and also don't have a strong starting hand unless the flop hits you hard. I am new at this so curious to see what others have to say.

Ill always limp a suited ace in EP inviting others in to jack up my implieds... usually I dump PF to that raise, but decided that my table image was good and I actually found a player smart enough to respect a limp reraise, so I did it.

If in fact he does have AA-TT or a set you are a huge under dog in the pot. The main concern is playing the hand when a "solid" player has entered the pot with a decent raise. Even if you hit the ace on the turn he may have you virtually drawing dead. Did you win the hand btw???

perfectly fine if your read that other guy is solid is good.

If I was villain I would dump everything but AA and maybe maybe KK here.

incidentally you are pretty much coinflip against all pocket pairs between TT and KK.

Risky, but if i think i can get away with it at a passive table, i'd do the same.

Upside: At least you hit the flop. The OESD is good for 8 clean outs, so you're a little over 30% to win this.
Downside: He called your 30BB bet preflop, and since he couldn't possibly believe this flop helped you, nothing's changed since then. So my guess is he's calling, and he's got you beat.

I think he's got AK, AQ or TT-QQ. Actually, if he calls with a pair (except A's of course) this gives you 3 extra outs.

I'm curious to read some results though...

So my point being: why would you wanna get yourself in a situation where a coinflip is the best possible scenario?

I'm assuming you had 100BB to start the hand.
With a 60 BB pot PF + 70 from your bet, he's getting 130-70 or almost 2-1 odds on this call... i don't see him folding.

If Villain is really solid/good, he wont call without AA unless he's got a read on you for a bluff. Your limp reraise screams Aces. He obviously likes his hand and you'd better hope he can lay down QQ or KK. I like the play if Villain really is solid.

Do you have a backdoor flush draw?

Default Results for the kiddie pool

I did have the backdoor flush as well, so I didnt feel bad about getting called, and like I said I didnt see him calling 70 BB without a monster.

He ended up folding to my push on the flop, which was just fine with me
