In a game where you're on button with limpers and a high implied odds drawing hand like that, I don't see the harm in building a bit more of a pot for when you do hit (this assumes you know your table well enough to not expect a reraise). In position like that, it warms things up for your steal too. Maybe i'm incorrectly translating from limit theory though.

As far as the hand, I don't see anything at all interesting about it. It's a standard 75% flop bet / fold to raise, then, check/fold turn if called. By not betting you not only don't know where you are, but you show sufficient weakness that you can't put him on a hand when he bets the turn.
