Yeah, me too. I really like where he got lucky and spiked a K.

Well, I don't think its that simple. Yes, of course its nice to make 2 pair on the river, but I'm curious about the flop mainly. My hand could EASILY be best vs UTG a lot of the time, as he could be betting unimproved overcards in many cases. He may also fold smaller holdings that I'm behind to a raise. The weak-loosies behind me are folding a high percentage of the time when I raise into them on this board.

I don't have PokerStove, but I gather against UTG's likely holdings and 3 other effectively random hands raising to lock up extra pot equity is the right thing to do. I do understand that my PF call was probably too loose.

You missed two golden opportunities to fold. But at least you got lucky.

Go back to SSH and find an example where Ed suggests protecting a hand this weak for *a pot this small*. You can do it by skimming because Ed was so good about putting in pot sizes.

Good point. How big would you want a pot to be before trying this equity play?

MisterKing,

I don't understand how you can justify the preflop limp by saying the players behind you will almost certainly call and then justify the flop raise by saying they'll fold a very high percentage of the time. A ragged flop is almost as likely to hit them right?

backdoor flush draw and bottom pair, I'm continuing to the turn with this hand, and what's wrong with driving out people?

Nothing. I hope everyone who plays at the same table as me always plays this way.

Seriously, what's wrong with driving people out is that you have a backdoor flush draw and bottom pair.

It's not really semi-late position when you claim that people are going to limp after you. Limping Kxs after 3 or 4 limpers is much different than limping Kxs early, even with a guarantee that you'll end up with 3 or 4 limpers.

a lot. It was played horribly on the first two streets, he had no business being on the turn in the first place.

PS: Your responce to GreyWolf wasn't very cool.... think about it. I thought his answer spoke volumes about the way this hand was played.
