Default How far do you go with a set?

Villain is 32/4/6. SB is a uber fish and will call down on draws or any piece of the board.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) internettexasholdem.com

BB ($23.45)
UTG ($405.20)
MP ($175.10)
Hero ($284.90)
Button ($152.35)
SB ($122.15)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls $2, MP calls $2, Hero calls $2, Button calls $2, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($12) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, MP checks, Hero bets $8, Button folds, SB calls $8, BB folds, UTG folds, MP calls $8.

Turn: ($36) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, MP checks, Hero bets $25, SB raises to $60, MP raises to $165.1, Hero ???? I fully expect SB to call as well.

I would call. You are rarely drawing dead hear, and you can get SB's last 100 if you boat up and he has 86/44-55.

Remembering that I have no clue in general...

U say SB calls down on draws any piece but what about his play here? Is he strictly call with anything but only raise the nuts? Assuming MP has a read that SB sucks (isn't that the general read an OK player gives a fish? I do ) could he be trying to get you out of the pot with TPTK or some such hand here hoping and expecting to have the best of it with 1 card to come against SB on his own? He (MP) may have you on on a flush draw if he's seen you bet draws and expect you to lay it down on the turn. Do we care about SB in this hand at all other than that he is adding money to the pot to increase your odds?

I guess wih no raise preflop 68 is a possible hand for MP but I seriously doubt 63, and with no raise an overpair seems unlikely although he does seem to prefer to limp than raise preflop.

Having rambled on and failed miserably to come to any coherent conclusion I go with my gut and call it. If you are right aout SB calling behind I reckon you have a decent overlay and expect to win here more than 1/3 if the time . PLus you have outs to a boat unless he has TT.

I've learned that when the action is weird like this (SB's action that is), it is always useful to consider KK-AA. Fish love to keep the pot small preflop and on the flop, and then come alive and teach the lag a lesson with a good old turn check/raise. Or he could just be bad and expect a worst hands to call a turn check/raise when he has KK-AA.

You probably got SB beat with with 2 pair, 4-x, but he might have a st8 or trip 4's. MP's the scarier one, probably with a set of 10's, but maybe with 6-8,6h-8h or even maybe 6-3h, but thats doubtful. If MP and SB's stacks were reversed, i would definitly call. 6h-8h I see him just calling here, but when donks stack me its usually with awkward lil st8's or runner runner flushs. I figure there's a 60% chance one of them has you beat now, and you only got 33$ in. Plus, their's little room for you in improve here. On my good day's i would drop this...definitly a tough spot though. But keep in mind, i play mostly tenhanded, so i might be a lil gunshy is spots like this in 6max.

I think you are ahead a lot of the time here, and the times you aren't are made up for by the pretty good odds you are getting to draw at the FH.

It's OBVIOUS that one of them has 68.

They cant BOTH have two pair/overpair/lower set here...

That's what are they are saying. You are getting a little better than 3-1. Do you make the call?
