Default What would you do here?

You have Aces up (A6)AT6Q) with no draw to low on 6th and have been betting/raising all the way representing aces. Villain lead up on fourth after hitting a low and has been calling since. He shows xx8847 two clubs. One dead A, Q, 6 and 5, 4 dead clubs. All 8s, 7s, and 4s are live. You lead out on 6th and get raised by villain. Busted low folds to two cold. The pot is now 10BB to you. Villain has a to 4th of 75% but generally does not raise without one side locked and a draw to the other. Do you call him down?

I assume the pot is quite large at this point, so you should call and check/call the river. You just can't fold here when you might be giving up half of a large pot.

Assuming this is a pretty decent player - maybe a 5-10 game or something like that.. I think you have to fold here.

He's withstood your open raise, so split 8's improving to trips is a likely holding.

All his board cards are live, so a raise here signals alot of strength, especially since he knows you likely have aces up. He's prolly protecting his hand against your potentially better boat and raising for value.

You're getting 5:2 that he hasn't made a better high hand than you and won't make a better high hand on the river. You still have a redraw, however flimsy. I call this one down.

A "decent" player doesn't call a raise from an Ace with split Eights.

He could be raising with just a low, and be absolutely correct to do so. He's free-rolling, even if the only way he can win high is to catch a third Eight while BRL misses. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain by raising (this changes if the rake hasn't been maxed out yet, but this pot is fairly large). Even if he has no outs for high, if he can get BRL to lay his hand down, that's obviously huge, and part of the reason I think BRL needs to call this one down.

And then there's the whole "good of society" angle.
