Default QQ on a rag\'ed flop

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (7 handed) converter

MP2 ($975)
CO ($2915.95)
Button ($1586.25)
SB ($495)
BB ($1088.75)
UTG ($847.75)
Hero ($1339)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $40</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Button calls $40, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>.

Flop: ($95) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button bets $40</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $140</font>, Button calls $100.

Turn: ($375) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $180</font>, Button calls $180.

River: ($735) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $200</font>, Button calls $200.

Final Pot: $1135

After he called my checkraise I thought he might have 99 or 10 10. I was unsure what to do on the river. I didn't want to check it and give him an opportunity to take the pot away from me. He could have possibly had a set but the J of hearts might have scared him from raising? Comments on all streets appreciated.

What's the purpose of the flop check-raise? To build a big pot out of position with one pair and lots of money behind on a draw-heavy board with no clue what your opponent has?

Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh.

There is nothing wrong with planning to CR the flop as long as the raise is large enough.

What soah said. I will add that giving a free card on this flop is a DISASTER. Not a fan of the flop c/r against most opponents.

No, that makes sense. What would you check raise with on the flop? A set? What else?

I would never check-raise this flop with this pot size, and these stack sizes.

Lead the flop.
