The MANSIONPOKER.NET POKERDOME SERIES is slated to debut on Sunday, May 15, 2006 (11:00 PM-1:00AM local) on FSN owned-and-affiliated regional sports networks, and continues for 43 consecutive weeks. The series' multi-faceted tournaments originate inside a remarkable, high-tech soon-to-be-built arena called the "Pokerdome."

Awesome.

Ivey is confirmed to play and they are trying to get Hachem (numbers are in Australian dollars). That could seriously dent the bankroll if sponsors aren't paying a lot of it.

How much could a sponsor seriously pay? You would think they would be better off spending less $$ for a super bowl commercial.

With a AUD $13.3m entry fee, that's the equivalent of over USD $10m.

As far as I know, to date the largest entry fee for a tournament was $400K in the first series of Poker Superstars.

This seems awfully pricey, even for sponsors.

I'm sure top names won't have toruble finding sponsors or crazy rich fans to back them. Heck, we might even see them e-baying some of their action.

If it is being sponsored by a big online startup - why so much money? Do they not think that they could get Ivey, Brunson, etc to show up for a paltry 20 million dollar first prize?

I don't know man, they're building a dome, putting up 100 million...they're going all out for this...I think they don't realize how big poker already is because it sounds like they're trying to jump the bandwagon before poker gets "really big"....lol a little too late.
