How much could a sponsor seriously pay? You would think they would be better off spending less $$ for a super bowl commercial.

Re: $60 million dollar winner take all tourney
With a AUD $13.3m entry fee, that's the equivalent of over USD $10m.
As far as I know, to date the largest entry fee for a tournament was $400K in the first series of Poker Superstars. This seems awfully pricey, even for sponsors. |

I'm sure top names won't have toruble finding sponsors or crazy rich fans to back them. Heck, we might even see them e-baying some of their action.

Re: $60 million dollar winner take all tourney
If it is being sponsored by a big online startup - why so much money? Do they not think that they could get Ivey, Brunson, etc to show up for a paltry 20 million dollar first prize?

[/ QUOTE ] I don't know man, they're building a dome, putting up 100 million...they're going all out for this...I think they don't realize how big poker already is because it sounds like they're trying to jump the bandwagon before poker gets "really big"....lol a little too late. |
