Default PP NL50 6max: A3o trash

Comments please, Villain seems decent, nothing out of line so far.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.5 BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter

UTG ($56.1)
MP ($64.55)
CO ($47.25)
Button ($28.85)
SB ($53.1)
Hero ($109.43)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, CO calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: ($1.50) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $1</font>, CO folds, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $2</font>, Hero calls $1.

Turn: ($5.50) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets $3</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $8</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $25</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $106.93 (All-In)</font>, SB calls $25.60 (All-In).

River: ($163.03) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 2 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $163.03

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
SB has 4c 5h (straight, five high).
Hero has 3d Ah (two pair, aces and threes).
Outcome: SB wins $106.70. Hero wins $56.33. </font>

To me this just reeks of bad poker, I broke one of the cardinal rules of NL, don't go broke in an unraised pot. Any other sage advice aside from, "his minraise on the flop was frightening?" Thanks.

"Don't go broke in an unraised pot" is a nice chestnut but not particularly useful. Perhaps a better one might be "don't go broke with top and third, necessarily, against lots of action on a fairly coordinated board." You've got the ace of hearts, so the only worse hand that might give you this kind of action is A2. I play it pretty much as you did until I fold to the turn reraise.
