Default Is it even worth it playing .02/.04?

Is it worth trying to beat it?

I am getting so frustrated it's unbelievable.

My variance is ridiculous and this is making me just want to quit poker.

They play like it's play money. And I know people will tell me that it's fantastic having capped flops half the time with 8 people seeing the flop but it's not fantastic when you have been terrible cards lately liek I have. I can't attribute it entirely to cards, but I really am trying to play like SSH says to, and all it's doing is screwing me.

The variance is literally killing me.

I don't blame the SSH.

I know people say to not move up before u can beat a limit but no one recommends putting in thousands of hands at play money and that's what the nanolimits at stars play like.

Move up if you can afford to. Even going to .10/.25 you'll begin to find the play a little more straight foreward. However, a word of warning. How LONG has this "variance" been killing you? You'd better make sure you're playing correctly if you're going to move up or else you'll just be accelerating your losses. If you're a winning player you will crush .02/.04 over the long-term.

It hasnt been killing me for forever, just for the last 3 weeks or so. Before that I was able to make about 10 BB an hour from it. Is this just a downswing do you think? It seems I can't win any hands now.

Try 25c/50c for a while to see how good you are. Playing too low is detrimental.

I asked the same question a couple months ago. The advice given to me was that if I could bankroll 0.25/0.50 and be comfortable with that, then go for it. So I did.

I think it was the best thing I could do. The lessons have been more expensive, but they've been better lessons I think.

Pure downswing. 10bb/h is impossible over the longterm.

In your opinion do I need 150 for .25/.50 or is 100 good enough?

$100 should be enough. You may get reamed but unless you are really tight for the cash, your bankroll shouldn't be a big issue at this level.

Nah I am not tight for it. I can manage 150.

Don't forget Paradise has .10/.20 too. I played them for a bit and their .25./.50. Had fun there ^.^
