Re: Clint Poll
doodleloodleooo,
wah wah wah TGTB&TU had a much to short theme song (that plays over and over), and could someone explain to me why Blondie qualifies as "the good"? On the other hand, Unforgiven is my favorite movie ever. |

Re: Clint Poll
You can't seriously knock the music from GBU. There are so many awesome melodies/themes/etc in that movie. The main theme is great.
Blondie is good because he creates a moral code for himself in a lawless and amoral land. I ended up going with GBU too. First, because the character development and acting are both spectacular. I mean, Unforgiven is great in both departments, but GBU is even better. This is partially just because it's longer, but it's still got the edge by a nose. GBU also has an awesome plot, real sense of motion and development in that as well. Again, edges out Unforgive by a hair. The visuals in GBU are better, more focus was placed on these, and it shows. Basically, it's GBU by a nose in terms of acting, plot, cinematography, etc. Unforgiven is more of a stark, stunning movie, and its moral core is easier to crack open, but GBU has as much in subject matter there IMO and is just a bit more subtle. It draws different distinctions. It's hard to pick but I had to say GBU in the end. NT EDIT: What also makes it close is that Unforgiven has the best ending of any movie, ever. |

You can't seriously knock the music from GBU [/ QUOTE ] I can and I do. I watched that movie last night, and a haven't been able to stop humming that theme since. It's not that bad (I'd even say it's good), but they played it about 50 times to many. As far as Blondie beeing good, I don't see him pulling a scam for money, then screwing his partner out of his half of the money (and coming close to killing him) as good. |

[/ QUOTE ] True, but at the end he makes up for it when the stakes are higher. I agree, that is an inconsistency, but I like that he's not a perfect character. NT |

Re: Clint Poll
People who appreciate movies would take TGTB&TU.
And I liked Fistful of Dollars better than for a Few Dollars more, but neither compared to TGTB&TU. |
