Just imagine the same conveyor belt.

Now imagine the plane LANDING on the conveyor belt.

The plane does not stop dead when it hits the belt. The tires just spin faster as the plane moves forward.

The same applies to the take off.

The plane will most definitely take off. Assuming the belt is long enough.

I typically stay at some of the finest hotels in the U.S. - places that might, if asked, repaint the room in the color of your choice prior to arrival.

This being the case, why won't they spring for a brand new roll of toilet paper after a guest checks out instead of simply folding the first sheet into that isosceles triangle ?

I mean, wow - do they even tear a off few sheets or do they just fold the first unused sheet ?
