Two hands
#1
Been having a lot of middle pair/multiway pot situations lately, such as this. Just checking here. I am fairly certain I missed a PF raise as well, but I was more aiming my questioning at the flop. Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: (8 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (8 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, MP2 checks, MP3 checks, Hero bets, SB folds, BB folds, UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls. Turn: (5.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) UTG bets, MP3 folds, Hero folds. Final Pot: 6.50 BB #2 Villain here is very LP preflop, seemed to tighten up a bit postflop but not to an extreme. Was fairly sure he'd take one off with any two, and I liked the ace a lot. Comments everywhere appreciated. Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, MP1 calls, 4 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, MP1 calls. Flop: (5 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, MP1 calls. Turn: (3.50 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets and is done with the hand unless a T/Q hits |

Re: Two hands
Hand 1:
I would not raise this PF against this many players. You are playing for straight/flush value and want to see a flop cheap so you can dump the hand those many times you will miss. Check the flop through. Your reverse implied odds really suck against this many players, and you have to dodge over half the deck for your 8 to stay good, even if you are ahead now. Good fold on the turn. You need at least 8:1 to try and draw to 2 pair or better. Hand 2: It's read dependent, but I think it's fine. You only need it to work about 22% of the time to break even. |

Re: Two hands
i raise pf to get the pot large enough to continue drawing. um, i check/call that flop and check/fold the turn. you have your 5 outs to improve but 2 of them are dirty (putting hearts or clubs on the board).
hand 2 i like. |
