My read on the guy was that he was fairly loose, somewhat of a calling station, but not a complete donkey maniac. This situtation has come up very often where I'll have a solid hand like 99+ and AJs+ and end up allin preflop or on the flop while there is a player with like 2xBB left.

Is this a stupid risk to take? What hands can I do this with and against what opponents preferably?
