Default Strong hand checks to me on river....

UTG is a solid very aggressive shorthanded player. The SB is a malfunctioning ATM spitting out cash like there's no tomorrow.

Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (4 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG raises, Hero calls, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets, Hero calls, SB raises, BB folds, UTG 3-bets, Hero caps, SB calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (10 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, UTG calls, Hero calls.

River: (13 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero ???

Does UTG's check seem suspicious to you guys? What range of hands do you put him on?

Do I dare check down second nut flush in 4-handed?

IF YOU CHECK THIS RIVER YOU ARE THE WORST. That would be the ultimate example of fancy play syndrome. Preflop you should 3 bet sometimes, like often. Flop is a clear raise you shouldn't even have to think about that one. Turn call is good. FOR GOD SAKES BET THE RIVER DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE HE HAS ANYTHING EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE TO BEATING YOUR HAND. If he is that good to read you for you hand and be CHECKING THE NUT FLUSH (LOL) or CHECKING A MADE BOAT (more likely but still LALA LAND) then so be it you are paying him off. The only reason I can see for you asking about the river is you are being completey results oriented or it was an elaborate joke at my expense.

Default Next river play:

You bet the river, SB folds, and UTG raises. Call, or 3 bet?

I can't imagine why three-betting would even be an option, here.

I would put the SB on suited A5. More than likely checked the river seeing a third diamond. I would absolutely bet here.

No, I think you have to bet this river. If you do get raised, I think you have to pay him off too. If he filled up, or has the nut flush then you tip your hat to him, but I think most times you will be called by a worse hand.

What I'm curious about is the preflop cold call, KTs? I know it's four handed and if I was in a blind, sure for half price. But with this hand I'd much rather be the one open raising than calling a raise with it, especially from someone you consider solid.
