Live Limit High Low Game

Ok I went to visit my buddy to my old home town, its a small town we were bored, we heard on the radio a "casino" advertised in the town that is like 5 miles from that town. We head over there its a bar and on the back theres a bunch of poker tables. Anyway we read the schedule it says:

Monday:Omaha high low 4/8 and 8/16 at night

and holdem pretty much every other day except thursday when its high low again except 3/6 then 6/12 at night.

Anyway its a small town most people make minimum wage it makes no sense to us how a game this big could be going on, we really dont know what to expect? Anyone ever played in a hidden and probably illegal high low game? How was it?

Also I am not a limit player, I used to go to my local casino and won 15BB 6 times and lost 15BB once before I stopped going because it was a 30 minute drive and playing online was easier. The problem is that back then I was new to the game and was pretty much following hellmuth's book(I was new to poker I knew nothing) and was only playing hands that had A/2 and nothing else.

So anyway I dont know what to expect and dont know how to practice for it, Any suggestions would be of great help.

www.o8poker.com would be the best "fast" way to learn some basic concepts.

Limit O8 starting hands will be like PLO8, except that you must play tighter.

In live low limit games, plan on no fold equity postflop, so you just need to show the best hand to win.

where is this "town"? cuz where i live its that exact schedule on mondays and thursdays.

EL Centro??!! what are u doing in that hell hole. thats where i live. the omaha games gets insane on mondays, 250 dollar pots won by retarded hands. People love to throw money in the pot, if u play hi low, u will enjoy this game. the thursday game just started last week, so im not sure if it will be as good as the monday game, but its worth a visit if ur in town, ill be there. Message me if ur gonna be there, the game starts at 6...... i think. we could play pool while the game starts.
