[/ QUOTE ] I'm really not an expert on this at all, I have just checked secunia periodically (since the last vulnerablity was posted on here) because I'm worried about security given that I use Neteller and stuff. For me, it just means some aspects of websites don't work, none of the instant UBB code things work on 2+2 for example, I have to use the basic gmail view, I think popup windows use javascript and also sometimes things like checkboxes and option buttons and stuff. If I need to use it, I just turn it back on for what I need it for and then off again after I've used it. It's slightly inconvenient.

i think there is only one question that is of any importance. CAN YOU SEE GRANNY'S SMILEYS??        who gives a rat's ass about the instant UBB thing. if it blocks my smileys, i'd call that a MAJOR vulnerability/flaw. carry on

Firefox has had a lot of vulnerabilities and by many has been touted as far more secure. Which we all know now is nonsense. Take your pick which you prefer, but don't make things up. Here, from Secunia: IE - 19/80 vulnerabilities unpatched, 42% have been extremely or highly critical, 49% System Access or DoS (all 2003-2005 data) Firefox - 5/16 vulnerabilities unpatched, 19% have been extremely or highly critical, 27% System Access or DoS (all 2003-2005 data)
