Couple AK hands miss flop
I'm never sure how to play these types of hands. Is this pretty much standard play?

Re: Couple AK hands miss flop
You are playing them the way I have been playing them. I am new enough to this that I can't say this as an expert, but you seem to play them the way that is advised by others on this board.

Re: Couple AK hands miss flop
On hand one I actually raise the flop. This will sometimes get you a free look at the river. Occasionally your flush will come in also. Hell, you might even have the best hand. Taking all this together, I think a flop raise is in order.
On hand two, if your 6 outs are good you are getting the odds to call here. But I don't think you have 6 full outs so the fold looks good from here. EDIT: spelling |
