Re: KJ o standard fold on button?
[ QUOTE ]
1-2 PP loose table obviously, 5 limpers, is this an obvious fold with KJo? [/ QUOTE ] If by obvious fold you mean never fold, than I agree. I would just call although others probably could make an argument for raising. [ QUOTE ] also wondering if there are no limpers, fold or raise? one or the other but not call i suppose. [/ QUOTE ] This is a raise. |

Re: KJ o standard fold on button?
yes, obvious call.
you could be dominated by AK or KQ if somebody didnt raise, but you could also be dominating KT, K9, K8, K7, QJ, JT, J9, J8, J7, shall I go on...and much, much worse in this type of game. If it was raised of course you wouldnt call. This hand is so easy to play postflop, and you only have to pay one bet to see it. There is no way you should ever, ever fold this in this type of game for 1sb. |

Re: KJ o standard fold on button?
Easy limp on the button. With no limpers in front of you (or just one or tow late ones), it is an easy raise.

Re: KJ o standard fold on button?
I don't think this is an obvious call, as its debatable, depending on the nature and character or the limpers, if raising preflop is better. But you should be playing unless your opponents are very weak tight.

Re: KJ o standard fold on button?
I'm limping here on the button, but I don't think raising is a good play at all. I think I'd fold before I'd raise.

Re: KJ o standard fold on button?
why? because your opponents have shown so much strength so far w/ their limping?

Re: KJ o standard fold on button?
I think people are getting confused becaues this is two questions? Raising KJo after 5 limpers isn't something i would normally do. Playing high unsuited cards in a large pot against a lot of limpers isn't fun, and KJo is no AKo. If it was suited I would raise everytime though. I would limp after 5 limpers, and raise if it was folded around preflop.

Re: KJ o standard fold on button?
I don't play the 2-4, but if it as an uber loose passive bunch, I like a raise. Yes, someone might have limped with KQ or AK, but I think its MUCH more likely (assuming uber loose passive) that (1) your opponents have complete garbage (i.e. you have a pot equity edge, however slight), and (2) 1 or more of them will pay you off all the way to the river if you hit TP good kicker and they have any piece or pkt pair. Add to this that even when you miss the flop a good % of the time you can expect to see a free river card with 1 sb on the flop and its an easy raise imo.
You should definately raise on the button if folded to you. This is more likely a value raise than a steal in that situation. |

Re: KJ o standard fold on button?
My opinion is,
raising is better than folding calling and raising won't show a huge difference in EV if it was soooted id raise without blinking |
