Default $10 dollars an hour time? What is this high limit

I went back to the NYC clubs for the first time since the busts. To my displeasure time is now 5$ an half hour. Up 1$dollar? What is going on?

Yeah, played 3-6 limit HE at at NYC club last week and quickly realized you can't play this low stakes a game and make money. How do you think the $10/ hr time charge compares to a 10%/$4 max rake per hand? Which is worse for the player?

I doubt there is a club in NYC where you cant make money playing 3-6 limit, even if there is a $20/hr charge

Without doing the numbers, it depends on what kind of player you are. A rake favors the TAG who takes only a few pots, but they're all big. A time charge favors the LAG who takes down a large number of pots.
