Default TPTK early in MTT vs LAG

$300 220 player live MTT, start with T5,000. 2nd round, blinds T50/100.

Hero is UTG+1, image is weak/tight, stack = T4,500.
Villain is SB, hyper-aggressive, overbets frequently, stack = T9,000.

Preflop (full table, pot = T150)
UTG folds to hero, picks up A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero raises to T300.
Table folds to SB who calls, BB folds.

Flop (T750):
7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

After asking how many chips hero has left, villain goes all in. Hero?

Fold.
Do you really think your 7s will still be the best by the river card? Plus, you may be able to trap him later in a similar situation where you min raise a monster . . .

Fold this pre flop. Diffently fold to Villans all-in. You will find better spots to try to stack him.

Well I was pretty sure I had the best hand at that point. I raised with this hand to begin with because I hadn't really done anything in the first round of blinds and didn't want to get bullied by the table. I had a feeling after villain called preflop he was going to bet out with anything, I just didn't think he'd go all in. Do I make my stand now and try to double up or wait for a better opportunity?

I don't agree with this logic. The ONLY issue is whether he's got the best hand now or not. If he does, he wants his chips in. He can't worry about what's going to draw out on him. There are a lot of draws his opponent could be on, but if 7's are best now, it's really unlikely he's an underdog.

That being said, it looks to me like villain has 88 or 99 and doesn't want to guess about the what hand you have when the turn has a good chance of being an overcard to his pair. I fold A7 figuring I probably don't have the best hand.

Thats a huge overbet. I think you get shown 2 pair/overpair/or an OESD there. I dont have pokerstove here to work out the equity vs that range, but I would guess its a fold.

btw Is this the tourney at the hard rock in hollywood?
