[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] software? [/ QUOTE ] i think he's got software that he's pretty well set up with, and i think it'd be tough for me to figure out a better option for him. [/ QUOTE ] What type of music? [/ QUOTE ] hip hop. [/ QUOTE ] Urgh. Buy the man some turntables. Trust me on this one. I'd recommend Technics 1200/1210 or Vestax PDX-2000/2300 with Shure M44-7 or M44-G carts and a Vestax 07-Pro mixer. Preferably custom fitted with a Penny & Giles crossfader that's been credit card modded. Obviously cost is going to be a factor so the above is a bit unrealistic :P but please, for the love of god, TURNTABLES. <edit> [ QUOTE ] maybe around $50-75. [/ QUOTE ] Okay, I'm stupid and I totally missed this the first time I read the thread. Perhaps just continually drop heavy hints that he should really get himself some turntables. The idea of DJ'ing hip hop on a laptop makes me want to vomit </edit> |
