How do I get my website viewed through google?

I just created a website for free no deposit poker sites on geocities and for some reason it cannot be found through google. How would I go about doing this. I hear it has to do with putting meta tags into the html.
please help!

search google for the meta tags. its very easy.

a geocities site with poker info is never going to get a high index on google. esp if its just filled with affil links.

Yes, but my site has very exclusive links for no deposit bonuses that can be found no where else on the net. So if they search the apppropriate stuff I couldn't imagine the list of results to be over 10.

You can start by submitting it to google.

http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

This will get their crawler to at least go to your site.

But from what i understand, google doesn't rely on metatags like other search engines, they rank pages based on how many other pages link to it. So in order to get a good ranking you'll need other pages devoted to poker to link to yours.

like another poster said you need links, good solid content helps too. google is smart enough to know if a page is affil garbage or a door, so dont even try it.

gets thousands of sites to link yours is a great way to start. ive had a few sites on google with #1 terms, and trust me, its not easy.

sounds like twoplustwo might be the ideal place to buy an advert

I was thinking about that but I have no idea how I'd pay. Best option for me sadly is to send a cheque/money in the mail.
