Does this line look ok? Looks fine welcome, critics expected.

Cap the flop. If he leads the turn, just call down.

Yep, that sounds right. I think you can't fold with top pair and a king kicker, but you can't keep raising by the turn with BB still betting so aggressively, so just call down against a turn and river bet.

I would have played it exactly the same.

Thanks for the responses. The river T killed his two pair, and I got table coached. Just didn't see how else I could have played it.

I love getting table-coached by guys who call my preflop raise w/Q3. That's probably a good time to bust out the "Shhh...I'm stacking your chips" line.

This is my first attempt at trying to respond to a hand, and I have far less experience as many others here. Basically, take this for what it is worth, a beginner's perspective.

I would cap the flop, and raise the turn. If he's chasing for some crazy straight draw or has Ax of spades, you want him to pay for it. If he calls, pop him again on the river. If he raises just call.

He could be calling with Tx on the flop, but it could just as easily be AK, JJ, JK, or 89s.

I don't think it was a poorly played hand.

I'm still a fan of the oldie but goodie: "I'd rather be lucky than good."

Note to OP: I'd probably cap the flop vs an unknown, but you played it fine (and I certainly don't lay down top pair HU against an unknown). Whatever you do, just resist the urge to explain to the table coach that you had him totally dominated pre-flop and if he hadn't gotten a lucky flop you wouldn't have had to suck out on him.

ahaha he called a raise with Q3.

anyway, you played it well, most decisions in this hand are pretty marginal, and tough against an unknown opp. you deserved to win, nh.
