[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Yeah, by the turn I don't see what reasonable hand you could be ahead of. Good fold. [/ QUOTE ] A better fold would have been preflop out of position vs a tight passive opponent's raise with only one other player in there. [/ QUOTE ] Folding preflop is very bad IMO. [/ QUOTE ] Do you really think it's "very bad"? Remember, this is not a default Party LAG we're talking about. |

This guy's raising range here is broad regardless of his skill level. He's trying to isolate a probably weak openlimper and this hand plays fine 3-way as long as you got the postflop skills, which OP does. |

We will almost always know where we stand postflop, and even if we didn't play better than him, we have more than enough hot-cold equity to make this work postflop. Folding assumes that by calling we will lose more than .5 BB/hand when we call. This simply can not be the case. -James |

James' reply above is so far superior to my reply which was going to be "because."
You don't fold that hand in the BB for a bet, only if you're so fearful of your postflop play that you're only comfortable playing huge hands (i.e. a new player - said player shouldn't be jumping into the Party15 anyway). Barron Vangor Toth www.BarronVangorToth.com |

I think i would muck to the flop 3 bet. [/ QUOTE ] Me too. I don't play 15/30, but if opponent is tight-passive, I think it's unlikely that he's bluffing or drawing here. If you call 3-bet, what's your plan for turn? Fold unimproved? |
