A 2+2 table coach (long)
Sat down at a table yesterday... it quickly becomes apparent that one of the players is a berating, obnoxious, table coach. As you will see, later in the conversation, it becomes evident that he is likely a 2+2’er. Because of his poor behaviour, I will refer to him by his actual Party (or skin) screename: “ManiRegolari.”
The following hand occurs: Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Adam is MP3 with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG calls, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP2 calls, Adam calls, CO calls, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, ManiRegolari checks. Flop: (5.33 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(5 players)</font> ManiRegolari checks, UTG checks, MP2 checks, <font color="#CC3333">Adam bets</font>, CO folds, <font color="#CC3333"> ManiRegolari raises</font>, UTG folds, MP2 folds, Adam calls. Turn: (4.66 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333"> ManiRegolari bets</font>, Adam calls. River: (6.66 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333"> ManiRegolari bets</font>, Adam calls. Final Pot: 8.66 BB Results below: <font color="green"> ManiRegolari has Ac Kd (one pair, sevens). Adam has 6s 5s (two pair, sevens and sixes). Outcome: Adam wins 8.66 BB. </font> <font color="blue">The following conversation ensues: ManiRegolari: lmao Adam: funny wasn't it ManiRegolari: yeah....I thought you were good too ManiRegolari: got to change that view ManiRegolari: calling station Adam: shows what you knew..... i suck ManiRegolari: I agree ManiRegolari: different kind of suck...but still suck </font> A few hands later: Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Adam is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, CO calls, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>. Flop: (5.33 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333"> ManiRegolari bets</font>, CO calls. Final Pot: 7.66 BB Results below: <font color="green"> ManiRegolari has Qd Js (three of a kind, kings). CO has 3c 3s (full house, kings full of threes). Outcome: CO wins 7.66 BB. </font> <font color="blue">The following conversation ensues: ManiRegolari: lmao ManiRegolari: great play ManiRegolari: advanced Other Player: ty Adam: best hand won ManiRegolari: what an observation “Adam” (not my actual screen name) ManiRegolari: you sure are a fuc.king idiot Adam: i know ManiRegolari: I got to revisit my book ManiRegolari: how to bluff those that never fold Adam: you should play 10/20 Adam: they'll respect your raises there Adam: and you'll clean up </font> A couple of hands later I’m involved in a hand against ManiRegolari, and I’m feeling frisky: Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Adam is MP1 with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Adam calls, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Button :#A500AF(ManiRegolari)/ calls, SB completes, BB checks. Note: my bet on the river is followed by long pause, then ManiRegolari writes, “lmao”… but ends up calling. Final Pot: 8 BB Results below: <font color="green"> Adam has 7h 7c (one pair, sevens). Re: A 2+2 table coach (long)
I think ya slipped and put your party name in there a couple of times. Might want to edit.

If you were trying to disguise your screen name, it looks like you could have done a better job.

This could have all possibly been avioded by you doing just one thing... DON'T REPLY TO HIS COMMENT ON THE 1ST HAND YOU POSTED. You said, "funny wasn't it". Don't say a word. You know better.

[/ QUOTE ] Also all the code talk IMO, is just being too cute by half. If there is another 2+2er at the table, then obviously a conversation could ensue, and it will be obvious that you two know each other from somewhere. That alone could make a bad player uncomfortable. These people are bad at poker, they are not necessarily stupid in general. |

A ya,
you're right... I don't really care, though (it's only one skin name). Too late to edit anyway... Adam |

Re: A 2+2 table coach (long)
Exactly, which is why you should never respond to the stupid "sup bro" or brown trout lines. Only bad things can come from that.

"sup" causing bad things? [/ QUOTE ] The exchange itself does not cause bad things. It is the continuing conversation afterwards. Once you start conversing it is obvious that you know each other. The whole thing (not so much "sup bro", but definetly the "brown trout" greeting) sounds really contrived. Even "sup bro" sounds really dumb, when people start talking about "all county 95". |

Re: A 2+2 table coach (long)
I was at that table. I distinctly remember Maniregolari. I put a few plays on him with some busted hands. I should've shown him.
I also remember your "misplaced" screen name. I must've left before all of the things you mentioned took place. Crap. |
