Default Lebron James is the Best Player in the NBA

If you had to take one player to start your team, you would have to be stupid not to take Lebron. Right?

I watched the lebron highlights over and over at the casino last night. Amazing. I would still take KG though. Lebron is for sure top 5 and his youth vaults him into top 3 or so as far as starting a franchise goes.

the title of your post and the text that followed arent one and the same.

lebron is not the best in the NBA. period.

OTOH, there is no one i would rather build a franchise around.

but as far as wanting to win in the next three years, give me shaq, duncan, or KG.

A primary option at the guard position who can shoot at a 50%+ clip? That's almost unheard of nowadays. The rebounds and assists are simply bonuses. Did T-Mac or Kobe ever have a season this good? LeBron could already exceed those two at the age of 19 if this season's lines hold (25/50%/6.5/7).

I'd build around LeBron over anyone and it's not even close. Maybe for the next 2 years only, I'd take Duncan and/or KG.

To start a franchise and NOT pick Lebron is plain stupid. Age is very important, but I take young Lebron over young Duncan or KG. I wanted to dislike him, but he is just amazing.

No it's not. KG, for instance, can bring quite a few things to the table that Lebron cannot.

The thing is Lebron is still relatively new and exciting where KG gets taken for granted. Both are great but with all things equal I take size and KG. All star gaurds are easy to find than Allstar big men.

Lebron is awesome though
