I have not, but you might try the Monte Carlo review at All vegas Poker and the Cheapo Vegas review of Monte Carlo

Nice room. Caters to an older crowd. Everyone at the table knew the dealers and were asking about their families and stuff. The $2/$4 game was loose aggressive and alot of fun. Infinitely better game than Excalibur.

Good...if you like smoke, angleshooters, and home court floor rulings.

Great venue many consider it the best ambiance in Vegas. Small number of tables about 6 in all. Small 2/4 HE game which is very loose. Great comps you get A $6 Comp for 6 hours of play every day. As a tight player I found it disconcerning with 5 and 6 people seeing the flop after a raise. But of all the Poker rooms in Vegas it has the best style.

I went to vegas last August just to check out a bunch of poker rooms. played at 10 rooms. rate the Monte Carlo in LAST position. would never go back. the small room, the amateur workers and the players all made it a very unpleasant experience compared to other rooms in town.

I've played at the Monte Carlo about a dozen times. The competition there at the 2/4 and 4/8 is what I would consider tougher than average. The room is pretty nice, with some cool pictures on the walls, and a generally cool poker playing atmosphere (sort of like a comfy den at a home game).

The hand bonuses are pretty good also. For example, I've been there two or three times when someone at the table has picked up $500 for a straight flush, or quad 8's, etc.
