Jobs in Politics/History

I find history and politics really fascinating. But I don't have any desire to help other people or better society. I'm also a big cynic on politics. Journalism kind of interests me because I like the idea of investigating things and really getting to the bottom of matters but I don't like writing. Thoughts on any possible jobs that would be good for me in this field?

There are all kinds of jobs you can do in this field for both the media and politicians. If you like learning about politics you can be an aid to a politician. Or you can work for a newspaper simply researching what is going on in politics.
