Default Coconut Milk

I tried to find this in a local supermarket that should definitely have an item like this, as it has standard supermarket stuff and high end organic bullshit, which I also enjoy.

Where would I find "coconut milk" in the supermarket? Would it be in the dairy section with regular milk? Is it canned? Has anyone ever bought coconut milk?

My local market has it in the Thai section.

PS. Why don't you just ask someone who works there?

yo stringer, check out the international foods section under thai for one. If not there, canned food section, near the condensed milk. It should be canned either way.

around here it's usually around the taco mixes and whatever.

cocunut milk is disturbingly bad in the fat/calories department, but thai curries are so amazing. fun to note that normal ingredients are 'coconut milk' and lite (half-calorie) ingredients are 'coconut milk, water'. so you pay the same amount that you would have gotten if you do a 50/50 mix yourself, only half as much milk.
