When I'm sizing up tables, I always look for as many of the above a s possible. Those "World Poker Tour, TV punks" are not ruining the games, they are putting money in the pockets of players who know what they are doing. People who played in California in the 80s (I lived abraod then and rely on heresay) tell me that the card rooms nearly dried up because all the fish were gobbled up and the only ones left were tough players. All these kids coming in are bread and butter and should not be discouraged. i have seen dealers handle little assholes in a much more professional way than the dealer in question here did. My favorite time was in a 3/6 game when shades/IPod/baseball cap, cursing his stupidity all night and insulting waitresses, saw the flop and asked for the umpteenth time, "How much is it to me?" The dealer bit his lip and then said, "Your hat size, sir."

dealers have one job: to deal the cards. they can take their personal issues to their shrink, just like everyone else.

Anyone defending the dealer in anyway is just wrong.
I used to work at SeaWorld as a low level manager for a ride. Did I get tips? Nope. Did I get yelled at daily because peoples kids were too short to ride the ride? Yep. Was I looking out for their childrens safety? Yep. Were I to talk back to these people at all, I would have been fired. It's called guest service, and no matter how crappy my day was or how aggressive the people were, I dealt with it, because it was my job. Funny that people look for the tables with the young kids... I look for the tables with the stubborn older men who think their way is "the right way" simply because they've been playing for years. Too bad they never have taken the time to look at a book. Hell, lets be honest, I like when the dumb looking kids in sunglasses sit down too [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Indeed, I find the younger kids who look like the part have some minimal education in the topic; they've at the very least looked at a preflop hand selection chart. The old guys do have experience, but they can be profitable, espcially if they're there for a vacation or something.

Dealer was wrong, player was wrong. Both should be tarred (sp?) and feathered.
As for my own experience a dealer at Turning Stone once mis-read the board and the player complained and the dealer promptly fixed it saying "oh no, there is gonna be a riot at the 1-3 tables"....sounds kinda dumb now but the way he said it made the whole table crack up
