Default Did I overplay QQ?

First hand, paradise $10+1 (T1000). I raise to 90 pf, and get reraised to 120 right behind me. 2 People call the 120 cold and I decide to make it 500 to try to get someone heads up.

I get one caller for T500
Flop is 9 4 2

I bet 350 on the flop, other guy reraises all in

He holds AJ, hits the A on the river and I'm out in the first hand.

Fire away. Thanks gus.

Hiya travis,

No, you didn't overplay QQ. He was dead to a 3-outer when he went all in, and he hit the 3-outer. That's going to happen sometimes, but you played the hand correctly, and you "won" in FTOP terms.

Even though it's the first hand, I would probably have just reraised all-in. There appears to be approx. T450 when it is your turn to act, and you are likely a hugh favorite, unless you think someone is slowplaying KK/AA, to which you will likely bust out anyway if the flop is non-threatening.

Consequently, I would reraise all-in so that:

1) I don't have a difficult decision to make if the flop contains an A or K,

2) I either take a nice pot right there without a flop or I force any of those inferior hands to go all-in when I am the favorite.

If my all-in is called and someone outdraws me...oh well, on to the next SNG.
