Help me find some leaks. (my first post)
First of all, thanks for all the help you've all given me and not known about. I've been looking through these forums and reading the 2+2 books since about the first of the year. I've wanted to post, but didn't feel I had enough knowledge to add anything. I finally broke down and bought poker tracker a few weeks ago and wanted some advice on my stats. It's a fairly limited sample (just over 5K), but I hope that is enough to go off of. I only play $1/$2 short handed (6 max). I'm looking for two or three things. Where am I wrong here with these stats? What can I look for to spot leaks in my game in stats that aren't here? Any advice for a guy who's learning?
I think I'm a bit too passive, but I'm not sure how to improve that. Any help is greatly appreciated, and I appreciate the help so far. |

A tad loose. A tad too passive post-flop, it looks like you call down with second-best hands a decent portion of the time.

I'm sure you'll get some input here on this, but I'd try posting it over at HUSH (Heads-up & Short-handed).

Re: Help me find some leaks. (my first post)
You limp waaaaaaaay too often.
My VPIP is ~23, and my pfr is 17.5. I think I need to limp a little more, and raise a little less, however. I think you should be shooting for about a 16% pfr. By the way, either you're running well, or I'm running crappily (probably the latter), but my W$WSF is 35, my WTSD is 33, and my W$ASD is 50. EDIT: Also, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too passive postflop. Raising more preflop would probably help that, as you'd often have initiative. |

HUSH would be a better place for this.
I've been playing a little 6 max lately, and I think your stats look a little too tight/passive. |

I would say too passive preflop and you go into call down mode too often. But I don't play 6 max very often so I could be off my rocker. Post this in the short handed forum for a little more insightful analysis.

[/ QUOTE ] That PFR looks very high for this VPIP. Do you only raise PF outside the blinds? It's not a sin to limp. 1/2 6max games are very passive so you have a lot of opportunities to limp and a lot less to steal blinds - eliminate players by raising PF. |

Re: Help me find some leaks. (my first post)
did everyone read that we're talking about a 6max player? his VP$IP is about right. too passive preflop though
edit: passive postflop too. |
