VHS to DVD
Does anyone have any recommendations for a not-too-expensive piece of equipment to copy VHS tapes to DVD.
I have a modest VHS collection that’s been increased my the eminent demise of my local Mom and Pop video store. I just went there to rent a movie and found out they are selling their entire stock. I picked up about 12 titles and all but one are VHS. Steven King’s The Stand and IT among them. I’m going back later today when I have more time. Anyway, any recommendations would be appreciated. TIA, greenage |

Re: VHS to DVD
Get a video capture card for your computer (you can get one for under $100) and a DVD burner (~$60) and you should be all set (provided your hard drive has enough space for the captured video - if not you can get a decent sized HD for under $100).

Re: VHS to DVD
I tried that and I don't recommend it. The quality was only ok and it was very time consuming. Try this instead: http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...amp;pfp=BROWSE
They had it on sale for $200 on Black Friday. |
