Default AK fold preflop, critique please

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

basically I thought I had healthy enough stack to not risk a coinflip or possible domination to BB showing significant strength. was it wrong of me to fold?

Thoughts like "not risking a coinflip" are not going to get you the big money. Put your opponent on a range and decide if you are ahead or behind.
