Default What is Pwned?

Some background:

I was hanging out with my buddy and a little bit out-of-sorts on Friday... At his place, I dropped a cookie and then picked it up off the floor to eat it. It had fallen in dog hair, some of it got into my mouth, and I went to the kitchen to get it out.

I didn't want to drink water or anything like that, where i might swallow the fur, so I grabbed some paper towels and was basically scrubbing out my mouth with them.

He came in, was a little out-of-sorts himself, and determined that I was eating the paper towels!

Anyhow, he was pretty confused and asked me about it, told me what he thought, and I replied, "Pwned."

He debated that there was no pwnage, as there was no intent to pwn. In essence, he said that in order for pwnage to occur, there must be a pwner and a pwnee.

-----

So, on to what will be perhaps the greatest question of the 21st century:

Must there be a pwner? Can you be pwned by a situation, or must there be intent to pwn? Can you pwn yourself?

Discuss.

When you post stuff like this while you're high, you pwn yourself.

I'm posting about events that occured yesterday. This is a serious question on the metaphysics of pwning.

Yes. but no intent is necessary. The pwner was the dog hair. You were the pwnee.

Even worse. You are caught up in a cycle of never-ending self-pwnage.

Ummm this is congruent with someone posting a screenshot of a CS match on a CS forum where the hero has 0 kills and 25 deaths and then saying...I PWN!

why must people use the word pwn at all...let alone off the internet...it just lets people know u have no life and spend a bit too much time on the internet

anytime anyone says that word on here i cringe...if someone said it in real life id look at them like that had 3 heads
