Consuming Raw Cookie Dough

Is it a bad idea?

I can remember always polishing off the cookie dough or batter or brownie mix or whatever when baking as a kid and I never got sick from it. I haven't done it in a long time though and I have a taste for cookie dough.

you'll be fine. when I was a kid I used to add a raw egg to milkshakes, I'm not sure why, and I was fine. If you're still concerned just buy the ready made cookie dough tube at the grocery store, just as good.

Dude, just had this (somewhat) tonight. Without the flour though and with extra vanilla. I feel like a [censored] pig but man it was good.
