Default i think this is a horrible call.

i have a read on the maniac here and he is definatly not a good maniac saw him call 6 bb raise with j8 off BUT he only played the hand out because the flop was J J 2, in this hand i think he easily has trips or 10Q but just as easily a flush draw or even straight draw or both. i only called him because i knew he was a loose maniac and thought thhere was a pretty good chance i was ahead rather then behind more then 50 60% and i already had money invested and if i lost at least i could note the guy.

I would probably call also, based upon your read on your opponent. However, beware of the thinking in the line that I quoted. Money in the pot is not yours anymore. Make the best decision based upon the information that you have and the odds you are getting, not by how much money you have already put into the pot.

What he said. "Because I already had money invested" should not be a phrase in your poker lexicon. The money in the pot is not yours any longer.

what i meant was that it was not an empty pot. there was enough in the pot that i couldnt simply fold on the fact that i was getting away from a nothing pot.

i think your flop raise is too small. if he's "not a good maniac" getting allin on this flop is acceptable.
