Default Bank Policy Against Gambling

Anyone try putting money online and get denyed because of their banks policy?

Whats up with that? Is there is something I can sign at my bank that will let my mastercard account go through?

Most banks have this policy. Gotta use neteller.

It's more than likely because you are trying to use a credit card and not because of your banks policy.

Most credit card issuing banks have a policy against gambling cash due to high risk. Read your cardholder agreement. It is considered high risk and the USDOJ is antigambling.

No. The reason the credit card won't work is because of the bank's policy.

Citicard and alot of other credit cards are all on the anti-gaming bandwagon.

The reason is because it is high risk. An ex:
you charge $10,000 and bring it to a poker site. You play badly, on purpose. You dump 10,000 to your buddy over seas. Your credit card company comes calling, but you never meant to charge that much and the action on the site seduced you into playing for the overly large amount. Lawsuits a plenty.

(I stole this story from a book)...

Anyway, thats why there are limits on how much you can load onto a gaming website at one time, and why banks don't let you charge directly to the gaming site.

Firepay is allowed, IIRC, but it's still inconvient as you can't withdraw using firepay, only deposit.

I've GOT to move out of this state.
